We’re looking for a data-driven storyteller—someone who can see both the art and science behind great content. As our SEO Strategist & Copywriter, you’ll shape organic strategies and write high-performing content that helps our tech clients attract, engage, and convert their audiences.
You’ll lead SEO initiatives from strategy to execution, pairing creative storytelling with performance insight to drive measurable results.
What you'll do
This is a client-facing intermediate role that is 25% strategy, 75% copywriting/strategy execution. You will primarily support SEO efforts, but will also be involved in broader conversion-oriented copywriting work.
- Develop SEO strategies and content architectures that align with client goals and user intent
- Lead client interviews to better understand client subject matter and goals.
- Write conversion-oriented copy that resonates for websites, ad campaigns, sales decks, and video scripts across B2B clients in high tech and B2C audiences in tourism.
- Write SEO-friendly copy that ranks for websites (including case studies, whitepapers, and long-form storytelling pieces
- Conduct keyword and topic research using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Keyword Planner, and Google Search Console
- Lead content audits and make actionable recommendations for organic growth, including recommendations for technical SEO and schema markup
- Present creative work and SEO performance results with clients on regular weekly check-ins.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure UX and IA support client goals/briefs and SEO best practices
- Monitor and report on organic performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and Looker Studio
- Stay current with evolving search trends, algorithm updates, and AI content tools
- Efficiently manage your priorities to ensure project timeline and due dates are met
- Clearly communicate, well in advance, dependencies or missing assets / resources and problems that might prevent you from achieving your milestones and due dates
What you'll bring
- 4+ years of experience in SEO strategy and copywriting (agency experience preferred)
- An undergraduate degree in English, Psychology, or Business (or other post secondary level training)
- A portfolio of SEO-optimized, conversion-focused content (including research-backed sitemaps, SEO research, and pillar strategies)
- Proven understanding of on-page SEO, UX, and conversion rate optimization
- Ability to translate data into creative opportunity
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads Keyword Planner, and CMS tools (Webflow, WordPress, Sanity)
- Comfortable using and learning new software (e.g. Google Docs, Google Sheets, Figma, Mindmeister, Canva, Google Slides, Webflow, Wordpress, Sanity, Zoom, Google Meet)
- Bonus: Experience in AI-assisted workflows and strategic prompting
- Bonus: Experience with design an asset
